Good afternoon students and staff, here are the announcements for Tuesday, February 11.
Attention all Link Leaders. There is a Link Leader meeting this Wednesday morning at 7:30 in Mr. French's room. We need all Link Leaders in attendance to discuss Link Crew Lunch on Thursday.
Attention Seniors -American 1 Credit Union is offering fifteen $1,000 scholarships to area high school seniors for their involvement in their communities. The application deadline is February 21st. The Michigan Education Association Scholarship deadline is February 28th. Applications are available in the Counseling office.
Be sure to check for available scholarship opportunities on the Counseling Office web page. New scholarships are added weekly.
There will be a meeting for all girls planning on being on the track and field team Thursday, February 13 at 7:40 a.m. in Mr. Rodriguez's room 132. This important meeting will have information for the season and the track schedule. If you cannot make it to the track meeting, please see Mr. Rodriguez during the day.
Attention, all boys interested in trying out for the Golf Team this Spring that were NOT on the team last year. Coach Ewald will be here Wed morning at 7:45 in the Team Room for a short informational meeting.
Dawg Pound shirts are in. If you have already ordered a Dawg Pound shirt you can pick it up in Coach Forsberg's room #130. Shirts are still available. The price is $10. Buy one to show your support for the basketball teams and you'll get free entrance to our last home game of the year vs. Adrian on Feb 27th. See Coach Forsberg in room 130 if you are interested.
Who is ready to watch the battle of the undefeated? This coming Thursday Chelsea will travel to Dexter to find out who will be named kings of the water. The Bulldogs currently ranked #3 in Division 3 will face off against the Dreadnaughts who are ranked #2 in Division 2. There is strength in numbers and your cheers will give the bulldogs the energy they need to draw a close to Dexter’s 20 year run at the top of the SEC White. Bring your voices and your blue & gold. The meet begins @ 6:00pm.
Bullying victims are 2 to 9 times more likely to consider committing suicide. Girls are about twice as likely as boys to be victims AND perpetrators of bullying (specifically cyber bullying). Chelsea School District, Students Leading Students (SLS) and Students Taking A New Direction (STAND) would like to remind you that there are many adults who do not support bullying. Tell an adult. Tell a teacher. Tell a counselor. Tell a principal. Tell a parent. Tell SOMEONE. Reminder to wear pink on Thursday to show that you care about standing up for others.
