STUDENT ANNOUNCEMENTS:

Good afternoon students and staff, here are the announcements for Monday, March 31.

Bravo to our Science Olympiad Team who competed at Adrian College for their Regional Competition.  Chelsea came away with 2 first and 5 third places. The most amazing first place was from the Scrambler vehicle, built by Ross Smyth and Anna Argento, that traveled at fast speed to stop 2 centimeters from the wall before it smashed its egg.  Also competing at this event were: Maya Pifer, Kat Haroney, EJ Lin, Evan Mongie, Hannah Noble, Shivani Rana, Matt Proegler, Juan Ruiz, Camden Dammeyer, Nora Dobos and Meagan O'Hara.

Attention all new student council members! We will be having our first student council meeting this Wednesday during 1st hour. Please be dismissed at 8:20 as the meeting will start 5 minutes afterwards. Hope to see you there to kick off a new year!

Are you a member of the Class of 2014!? Then listen up! We need your wills and misses as well as any pictures for this year's Senior Magazine! Please email them to Mikhaila Babycz or Zealand Smith as soon as possible.


Seniors: The Chelsea Education Foundation will begin accepting online applications for college scholarships at its website on Tuesday, April 1.  Scholarships are awarded in several specific areas of study, including engineering, nursing, teaching, entrepreneurship, culinary arts, and other fields, as well as general service and merit awards.  One online application covers all the different scholarships and may be accessed from the CHS Counseling Office Website.  All completed applications must be submitted by April 22nd.

STUDENT ANNOUNCEMENTS:

Good afternoon students and staff, here are the announcements for Friday, March 7.

Attention all freshmen: Link Crew invites you to Cocoa and Cram on Monday, March 10, from 3-6 pm. Join us for cookies, hot cocoa, and end of term exam preparation. We hope to see you there!

Are you going to WCC next year?   Six Chelsea High School students will receive a WCC Scholarship of tuition and $600 for books for a full year (Fall and Winter). Five scholarships for CHS students with at least a 3.2 cumulative GPA. One scholarship for a CHS student who demonstrates scholastic achievement and/or outstanding accomplishments.  The deadline for the Washtenaw Community College Scholarship is March 15th.

March 15th is also the deadline for the American Legion Auxiliary Memorial Scholarship AND the American Legion Auxiliary Medical Career Scholarship.   Stop by the Counseling Office or check the Counseling website  for more scholarship information.

The golf team will have a mandatory meeting Monday 3:00 in room 600, the health room.

There will be a post season meeting for all varsity boys basketball players at 3:00p today in the team room. Bring your white and blue uniforms and your practice jersey washed.

Attention anyone who missed yesterday's track meeting.  You must come see Mr. Swager or Mr. Rodriguez by the end of the day today.   Don't forget,practice starts Monday!

There will be a CHS girls soccer meeting today at 3pm in the health room.


Students - Elections for new student council members will be held on Monday, March 10 at the beginning of 4th hour. They will follow announcements and will take about 5 minutes. The ballot is on the iPads so please bring them to fourth hour on Monday. Thank you and good-luck to all our candidates.

STUDENT ANNOUNCEMENTS:

Good afternoon students and staff, here are the announcements for Wednesday, March 5.

All girls who are playing tennis this spring, there'll be a meeting in coach Pedlow's room on Monday after school. Bring clothes because we will be conditioning after the meeting. All girls must have a physical on file.

This Friday there will be a post season meeting for all varsity boys basketball players at 3:00 in the team room. Bring your white and blue uniforms and your practice jersey washed.

Reminder to all football players...the Lift-A-Thon is this Thursday at 6pm.  Please wear gold shorts and be on time. If you have any questions please see Coach Taylor or Coach Bush.

There will be a CHS girls soccer meeting on Friday at 3pm in the Team Room.

The literary magazine is having the first official meeting this Friday after school in the Bleu Print room. We will be assigning people to different jobs concerning funding and page layouts. A submission for the magazine is not required to be a member of the staff, so if you are interested in being a part of The Accolade, we will see you on Friday.
