Good afternoon students and staff, here are the announcements for Wednesday, April 15.
Congrats to the men's track team, who won a hard fought battle versus Adrian last night. This pushes the guys winning streak in dual meets to nearly 5 years! Noah Van Reesema won 3 events to lead the way, while Bailey Edwards, Kenny McDowell, Ty Nelson, and Zach Skogheim scorched the track for two winning relays. Jeremy Policht and Michael Rock also had individual wins. Great team effort guys!
The girls track team also defeated Adrian yesterday. The team moves to 2-0 on the season, and everyone is really competing well. Come out to the Chelsea Relays on Friday at the stadium for a great home relay meet.
Attention Juniors in the National Honor Society. The sign-up sheet for Tag Day is in Haiku. Make sure you sign up for your time.
If you are a senior who is considering community college, there will be a visit to WCC on Tuesday, April 21, from 8:00-11:15a. This will be a comprehensive tour and school excused absence. Lunch on campus will be furnished. Sign up in the counseling office by Wednesday. Space is limited.
Seniors the deadline to apply for a Chelsea Scholarship Committee scholarships is this today 3:00 p.m. No late applications will be accepted. Do not miss this opportunity, one application covers several different local scholarships. The online application is on the Counseling Office website.
The Chelsea Women's Service Club Scholarship application is due to the Counseling Office by Thursday, April 16th. Applications are available in the Counseling Office.
Attention all Juniors and Seniors. Prom is coming up on Saturday, May 2nd, and this year's theme is Casino Royale! Tickets are now for sale before school, during lunches and after school, through April 24th. You'll hit the jackpot when you buy your ticket for a fun filled night! This year, there will also be a prom-posal contest! GSA would like to remind you that Friday is the National Day of Silence. If you see someone wearing rainbow today, they are supporting the rights of the gay and transgender people. Remember there is a GSA meeting today after school.
