Good afternoon students and staff, here are the announcements for Friday, April 17.

Thank you to everyone who donated blood or helped with the blood drive.  We exceeded our goal, collecting 54 pints.  That is enough to help save the lives of 162 people in our community.  Great job, everyone!

Attention Seniors:  There are several scholarship application deadlines next week.  The deadline for the Chelsea Education Foundation scholarship application is Friday, April 24.  One online application covers several different local scholarships and may be accessed from the Counseling Office Website.

The Freshman Student Council is selling flowers to recognize graduating seniors and to honor influential teachers.  The sale is open to all students, faculty and staff.  Flowers are $2 and order forms are due by Friday, April 24th.  Flowers will be delivered the week of May 18th during 4th hour. Please see any Freshman council representative or stop by room 212 to place your order.

Juniors and Seniors!  Prom is coming up fast and there are a few dates you should be aware of.  Prom-posals are due to this Monday, April 20th.  Send you pictures of how you are asking that special someone in to possibly win two free tickets to prom.  Prom tickets will be sold in all lunches and before and after school in Mrs. Bareis’ room until April 24. Let us deal you in on May 2nd at the Comfort Inn Conference Center. This will be a night you will never forget!

Today is National day of Silence, on this day thousands of students everywhere have taken an oath of silence, and are wearing black, to represent the silence left by those that have been bullied and committed suicide. 20% of teens grades 9-12 reported being bully. Suicide is the second leading cause of death in ages 10-24.
