Good afternoon students and staff, here are the announcements for Monday, October 5.

Congrats to the men's XC team, who won the fresh/sophomore race at Saturday’s Chelsea Invitational.   Carson Rabbitt and Connor Gilbreath led then charge with top 5 finishes.  In the older race, Liam Heaney was the overall champion.   Thanks to all our fans who came out, and those that competed in the open race.

Attention all National Honor Society Students.   Sign up now to work during one of the time slots for the Blood Drive Thursday.  See the signup genius in Haiku now and get signed up.

Youth led Students Leading Students groups are trained to develop peer education health and safety activities in Michigan schools.  If you are interested in practicing leadership, team building, communication, resistance and positive peer influence skills please consider joining Students Leading Students.  Our kick off meeting will be Thursday, Oct. 8 at 3 p.m. in room 113.  Snacks will be available.  Contact Ms. Waldo for more information.

The Chelsea High School Theater Guild will be holding an informational meeting about their Winter One Act production on Wednesday, October 7 at 3pm in the auditorium. Come find out more about this student-guided statewide theater performance competition, which includes many onstage and off stage opportunities!

Chelsea District Library has several College Bound events planned in October.  Check them out if you are you interested in:
Finding time and a place to fill out college applications.
Taking practice SAT and ACT tests.
Learning about Washtenaw Community College opportunities.
Getting help writing college application essays for MSU and other schools.

There is a contest for Artwork for the Fall Musical, “Beauty and the Beast”!  Entry Designs should be 8.5" by 11" in size and should be simple enough to be printed on a t-shirt, poster, and program for the show. We are looking for artwork that captures the theme of the show and that is eye-catching and exciting. Designs should not include text and should be original; Please DO NOT include any Copyrighted Disney images.  The winner of the contest will have their artwork featured on the "Beauty and the Beast" program, poster, and t-shirts, and will receive a $25 gift card for iTunes or Amazon- winner's choice!  Submissions may be given to Mrs. Naar through today.
