Good afternoon students and staff, here are the announcements for Friday, January 30.



Attention NHS Members:  Sign-up link for to help with the state One-Act competition is now available on the NHS home page of Haiku.  Also, don't forget to vote for induction speaker by today.

Attention sophomores:  If you still want to buy a class t-shirt, bring your $10.00 to Mrs. Hugg’s room during zero hour or after school. Next Tuesday-Thursday you'll be able to buy candy grams for special friends they will be delivered Thursday during 4th hour. Be sure to know who they have for 4th hour.

Student Council will be running a change drive next week during lunch. Proceeds go to Motts children's hospital and the winning grade will get points added to their Winter Carnival total.

The Chelsea House Orchestra’s Annual Hometown Show is this Saturday at 700p in the CHS auditorium.   Tickets are $5.00 for students and $10.00 for adults.

There will be a Theatre Guild meeting today at 3:00 in the Drama Room. All are welcome to attend.

Students interested in taking a Consortium class next year, Saline is hosting a Consortium Open House on Monday, February 2nd at Saline High School from 6 to 8 p.m.  This is a great opportunity to learn about the different courses offered through the program. 

Dual Enrollment students that have signed up for WCC Fundamentals of Speaking next trimester you need to apply to WCC by today if you have not done so already.  Parent/Principal forms are due to Mrs. Weber no later than Monday, February 2nd.  WCC will be here on Friday, February 6th to administer the COMPASS admissions test.  Please contact Mrs. Weber if you have additional questions.

Good afternoon students and staff, here are the announcements for Thursday, January 29.

It’s been a busy week for the wrestlers, who won the Flint Beecher Invitational over the weekend. The Bulldogs also defeated Ypsilanti and Skyline on Monday. Last night they took on Lincoln and Pioneer. The boys wrestled tough, beating Pioneer 42-29 and losing a close match to Lincoln 33-36. Congrats guys and keep working hard!

There will be a ‘NewYorkistra’ rehearsal tomorrow morning at 700a.

The Patriots lead the Seahawks at the half by a score of 47 to 18.  You can still impact the outcome of the Souper Bowl of Caring by dropping off your canned food items sometime today or tomorrow.  Please help support your team and Faith In Action.

Interact is running a Cupcakes for Coats drive this week. Bring in any new or gently used coats and jackets to Ms. Lutz's room this by Friday in exchange for a cupcake! You get one cupcake per item and all donations are going to Faith in Action at the end of the week.

Seniors interested in information on gap year programs there is a GAP YEAR Fair at Skyline High School on Thursday, January 29th from 6 to 8:30 p.m.   This event is an opportunity to learn about a number of life changing gap year programs from around the world!

Good afternoon students and staff, here are the announcements for Wednesday, January 28.


Attention student council members.  We have a meeting today at 2:15. See you all there! 

Attention NHS Members:  Go to Haiku to vote for your choice of faculty speaker at our induction ceremony.  You must vote by Friday.

After one quarter of play in the Souper Bowl of Caring, the Seahawks are beating the Patriots by a score of 13 to 8.  Please remember to bring your canned food items for Faith In Action and get in the game.

Interact is running a Cupcakes for Coats drive this week. Bring in any new or gently used coats and jackets to Ms. Lutz's room this Thursday or Friday in exchange for a cupcake! You get one cupcake per item and all donations are going to Faith in Action at the end of the week.

Attention all Juniors! Today after school there will be an informational meeting regarding prom in the library at 3:00!!! Please come if you are interested in helping to make this year’s prom a success.

Bollinger Memorial Wrestling Scholarship application form is available in the Counseling Office.   This scholarship is available for any post-secondary education, including vocational, technical, two year and four year degree.  Don't miss out on this scholarship opportunity.

Seniors:  The Josee L. Alvarez Memorial Scholarship is awarding $1,500 to a graduating Chelsea High School senior this year.  The application deadline is March 17th.  See the Counseling Office scholarships web page for more information and the link for the online application.

Bollinger Memorial Wrestling Scholarship application form is available in the Counseling Office.   This scholarship is available for any post-secondary education, including vocational, technical, two year and four year degree.  Don't miss out on this scholarship opportunity.

Attention Sophomores:  As you schedule for next year, you may be concerned that the ACT class elective will no longer be relevant. We are aware of the State's proposed change to the SAT as the required test and, if necessary, will adapt the ACT class to prepare you for both tests.

There will be a World Language Club meeting tomorrow at 7:45 am in Mr.Forsberg's room. We will be discussing the Short Film Festival at the DIA, if you’re planning on going you must come to the meeting or talk to Mr.Forsberg. The meeting should only take 5 minutes.

Good afternoon students and staff, here are the announcements for Monday, January 26.

Give a great big ‘Go Bulldogs’ to the CHS Theater Guild's One Act cast and crew for taking first place at the MIFA District theatre competition this past Saturday.  Congratulations!

The bowling team should be dismissed today at 2:05 for their meet in Adrian.

Art club will be cancelled this Tuesday, January 27. 

Seniors:  The Josee L. Alvarez Memorial Scholarship is awarding $1,500 to a graduating Chelsea High School senior this year.  The application deadline is March 17th.  See the Counseling Office scholarships web page for more information and the link for the online application.

The sophomore class student council representatives will be selling your class of 2017 t-shirts during lunches today and Tuesday for $10.00.   Buy one so you are ready for winter carnival spirit week!!!

Bring a can of soup or other food item to lunch any day this week and help your team win the Souper Bowl of Caring.  Each canned food item will give the Seahawks or Patriots a point (Or you can throw your support behind our home team).  We will tally the points at the end of each day and announce a Souper Bowl winner on Friday.  Then we can see if we correctly picked the winner of Sunday's game.  All soup and canned food items will be donated to Faith In Action. 

Who is your perfect love match?  Who are your best friend matches?  Do you know which celebrities share your birthday or major events that occurred on that day?  You can find all of this out the week of Valentine's but first you MUST fill out a matchmaker form online.  There is a link in your e-mail that takes you to the online matchmaker form.  If you haven't done so, please fill out the form by today.
