Good afternoon students and staff, here are the announcements for Wednesday, September 30.

Congrats to the men's XC team, who took runner up honors at last night’s SEC jamboree.  Carson Rabbitt led the charge by taking 4th overall out of 100+ runners.  Connor Gilbreath ran a PR and finished in the top 10, and Bennett Proegler also had a lifetime best.  Good work men.

Volley for the Cure t-shirts are $5.00.  Pick up a shirt and support breast cancer research and awareness.
Your t-shirt purchase gets you in to the Chelsea-Dexter Volleyball match free on October 20th.
See a volleyball player to purchase a shirt or see Mrs. Cleveland.

Seniors : The Diploma Order Form you received during the Senior Class meeting is due by today.  If you have not submitted it to Mrs. Weber please do so no later than 3:00 p.m. tomorrow.

For those students who are in Consortium, only Building Trades, Cosmetology and Health Science-Chelsea will have class on Friday, Oct. 2.

Next Thursday, Oct. 8th, is this year's first NHS blood drive.  Anyone aged 16 and up can help donate.  If you are interested in donating, please check with Brooke Blackledge, Travis Heydlauff, Rosie Hintzen, or Kelly Bertoni to get signed up

Attention students.  If you would like to order numerals for your varsity jacket, the forms are in the main office.

Attention anyone interested in getting in shape this winter and learning what it means to compete.   Wrestling has an informational meeting this Thursday at 7:30am. Please talk to Coach French if you can't make it. It is going to be a great year to be a wrestler, please bring a friend.

Today is the last day to sign-up guests for the Homecoming Dance.  You will need your student ID to enter the dance.

Attention all students! It is not too late to join Key Club.   There is a Key Club meeting this Friday October 2 at 7:30am in room 116. We will also be collecting dues at this meeting, so if you haven't already done so, please bring $15.00 to become an official member.

Today is GSA in the counseling office at 3:00.  Please see Mrs. Morris or Mrs. Weber with any questions.

Looking for a great way to start off your homecoming weekend?    Come to the Chelsea XC invitational Saturday morning at Hudson Mills!   You can also join us during the open run at 11:30 on our beautiful rolling course.  Cost is only $5 to enter.  See Mr. Swager or any XC runner for details.

Come watch the Bulldog volleyball teams battle the Adrian Maples tonight here at CHS.  The Freshmen and JV start at 5:30 with the Varsity following at 7 pm.  See you there!

The GSA (Gay-Straight Alliance) meets on Wednesday's in the counseling office from 3:00-4:00.  All are welcome.  Come see what we are all about.

Congratulations to the Freshmen Volleyball Team who finished 3rd in our own tournament on Saturday. We'd like to give a shout out to the JV players who acted as our #1 fans and hosted a great tournament. Congratulations to all of these great team players.

Got $5 for Breast Cancer Research?  If so, you get a Volley for the Cure t-shirt.  The t-shirt gets a student in free to the Chelsea-Dexter Volleyball Match on October 20th at Dexter.  The shirts are being sold on Tuesdays and Fridays by the Chelsea Volleyball Teams at lunch or you can see Mrs. Cleveland for a shirt.

Wednesday - United States Army
Sign up in the Counseling Office.

The sophomore class is providing a wing man service for all CHS students who might need help asking another student to Homecoming.  The cost is $5.00 for a flower, chocolate and special note.  To sign up, contact any of the sophomore class student council members.

The legendary University of Oregon track and field coach, and Nike co-founder, Bill Bowerman said, "If you have a body, you are an athlete." Chelsea's own Fellowship of Christian Athletes also believes this and we would love anyone interested in stopping by to join us at 7:40am on Monday mornings in room 213.

The SRSLY coalition is hosting its first meeting of the year today at 6:30 – 8:00 pm in the WSEC board room. Come on out to hear what SRSLY is cooking up for this year and find out how you can join in on the fun. We will have plenty of pizza and everyone is invited. SRSLY is meeting this Thursday.
