Good afternoon students and staff, here are the announcements for Friday, October 30.


Congratulations to your Chelsea Varsity Field Hockey team!  Last night they defeated Skyline in the DI semi-final playoff game.  They accomplished this with super charged speed, tight passing, the best stick work in the state and incredible teamwork.  Come cheer your team in the State Final, Saturday 2:30 at Skyline.

A reminder for seniors: The VFW’s Voice of Democracy audio-essay competition application and audio CD are due to Mrs. Weber in the Counseling Office no later than 3:30 p.m. today.

Sign up in the Counseling Office

We will be lighting sky lanterns tonight after the football game.  To see a magic spectacle of light, come to the game and purchase a sky lantern.  Hope to see you there.

The Theatre Guild invites you to join them for an afternoon of improv on Halloween! From 2pm to 4pm this Saturday in the auditorium, they will be hosting a fun improv workshop open to all students. (Don't know what improv is? Think "Who's Line Is It Anyway"!  Plus, there will be plenty of food and Halloween treats!

There will be a Theatre Guild One Act meeting in the auditorium on Monday, November 2 at 3pm. Anyone interested in participating in or finding out more about the One Act play competition is welcome to attend.

SRSLY has a coalition meeting this next Monday, November 2nd, 6:30 – 8:00pm at St. Joseph Mercy Chelsea in Atrium Rooms A & B. We'll be voting to determine Anti-Drug winners, hearing from our awesome project teams, and enjoying pizza. Join us on Monday night – it's going to be SRSLY fun!

Today is the last day of our Interact polio fundraiser – please contribute anything else you can to the purple collection canister in your classroom now.  An Interact member will be coming by to collect the canister in a few minutes.  Our fundraiser has been a huge success so far.  We will announce the total we raised and the winner of our Halloween candy party on Monday.  Thank you everyone for your generous support of this cause.

Good luck to the girls swim team today as they travel to Dexter in their last meet of the season!

A reminder for seniors: The VFW’s Voice of Democracy audio-essay competition application and audio CD are due to Mrs. Weber in the Counseling Office no later than 3:30 p.m. this Friday.

Attention students: please remember that during lunch, you are to remain in the Commons unless you seek out prior administrative permission to be elsewhere.  Specifically, students are reminded that they may not eat lunch in the academic hallways. 

Do you want to send off sky lanterns into the beautiful night? Do you want to see a marvelous spectacle of lights? Come to the football game tomorrow night and purchase a sky lantern! We will light them off after the game on the field. Hope to see you there! 

Attention students in Elective Studies B 2nd trimester.  The Holocaust memorial field trip has been scheduled for November 12th. There is only one trip each year so it is your responsibility to see Mrs. Learman and get the permission slips to attend this event. 

Attention Seniors:  remember to order your Class Panoramic Photograph by going online or mailing your order forms to SchoolPictures.com by Friday, Oct. 30.  Additional order forms are available in the office.

There will be a Key Club meeting on Friday October 30th at 7:30 in room 116.  We will be talking about our next community service event, as well as handing out our trick or treat for UNICEF boxes.  If you have not yet paid your dues, please bring fifteen dollars to the meeting.  If you can't make the meeting but want to trick or treat for UNICEF, stop by room 116.

Good afternoon students and staff, here are the announcements for Wednesday, October 28.

Congratulations to the Varsity Volleyball Team on completing an undefeated SEC Campaign last night.  The team defeated every SEC team they faced in league this season, after beating Ann Arbor Skyline 3-0 last evening.
The team plays Thursday and then is hosting a tournament here on Saturday beginning at 8:30 am. Go Bulldogs!

Eastern Michigan University is presenting information about their Early College Alliance program tonight in the Chelsea High School Media Center from 6:30 p.m. - 8:00 p.m.  Students who are currently in the 9th or 10th grade are eligible to enroll in ECA for the 2016-2017 academic year.

Attention students in Elective Studies B 2nd trimester.  The Holocaust memorial field trip has been scheduled for November 12th. There is only one trip each year so it is your responsibility to see Mrs. Learman and get the permission slips to attend this event.

Good afternoon students and staff, here are the announcements for Monday, October 26.

The CHS Special Olympics Floor Hockey team earned a second place finish in the Washtenaw County Tournament this weekend.  Nearly every player had a personal best game. They will compete in the state tournament in mid-November.  Congrats!

There will be a girls tennis meeting for all girls who are interested in playing tennis on Tuesday morning in Mr. Pedlow's room.  The meeting will start at 7:40. That's all girls who are interested in tennis, Tuesday at 7:40, room 110.

Attention Seniors:  Remember to order your Class Panoramic Photograph by going online or mailing your order forms to SchoolPictures.com by Friday, Oct. 30.  Additional order forms are available in the office.

This is a reminder to all students signed up for the Career Exploration field trip to Baker College tomorrow/ Tuesday. Please report to the commons area immediately after 1st hour.  Do not report to your 2nd hour class. We will begin boarding the bus at 9:20.   Remember to bring money for lunch.
