Good afternoon students and staff, here are the announcements for Friday, March 4.

The staff and students of Independence Hall would like to give a huge shout out to the Key Club, the Academic Learning Lab and the Chelsea Cheer Team.  The support you showed us at the Cherry Bowl last night was amazing.  What a successful event.  We couldn't have done it without your support and hard work.  And a huge thank you to those who donated to the A.L.L. pop can drive.  They were able to raise $1000 for Chelsea Special Olympics!

Congratulations to the CHS Music Department and to the Wind Symphony, Concert Band, Concert Orchestra and Symphony Orchestra in particular on their performance at yesterday's District Band and Orchestra Festival.  All of our bands and orchestras earned the highest possible first division excellent ratings, and received outstanding comments from all of the judges at the event.

Attention freshmen: Final exams are coming! To prepare, you should stay after school on Monday for Link Crew's Cocoa and Cram.  We'll have free cookies, hot chocolate, and experienced link leaders to help you study for exams!  Come to Cocoa and Cram on Monday from 3:00-6:00p in the Commons.

Attention NHS members:  There is an activity that you might want to sign up for.  There is a beef banquet on Thursday at the high school and they need 12 workers.  Go to the NHS Haiku page to the sign up genius.

The Chelsea Varsity Hockey Club will pay the admission to every Chelsea High School student to the Regional Final hockey game this Saturday at 2:30 at the Arctic Coliseum.

Attention Seniors:  If you have been involved in volunteer or community service through school or another organization the Chelsea Area Women’s Service Club Community Service Scholarship is a scholarship opportunity for you.  Applications are available in the counseling office.

Seniors did you participate in AAA’s School Safety Patrol program?  If so, there is a scholarship opportunity available to you! See Mrs. Weber in the Counseling Office to pick up the scholarship application.

Katie Fox and Lon Stewart were long-time members of the Chelsea Soccer Community. To honor their lives, and dedication to soccer, the Chelsea Soccer Club offers college scholarships to former CSC players who have demonstrated similar dedication, commitment, and sportsmanship. Applicants must be college-bound graduating seniors at Chelsea High School.  Applications are available in the Counseling Office.

The SRSLY Coalition is having their March Coalition Meeting this Monday, March 7th at St. Joseph Mercy Chelsea. Join us in the atrium conference rooms from 6:30 – 8:00pm for pizza, games, and voting on what movies we show at SRSLY Cinema this summer. We need your input. See you at the SRSLY meeting this Monday!
