Good afternoon students and staff, here are the announcements for Wednesday, April 13.

Congrats to the men's track team who edged Tecumseh last night (106 to31).  Individual winners included Noah VanReesema, Tom Oates, Lawrence Buckley, Bailey Edwards, Jay Packard, Ty McTaggart, Jordan Smith, and Kyle Simmerman.   A dominant team effort,  good work guys !!

The Chelsea Girls Track & Field team opened the regular season with a win against Tecumseh (86 to 51). Hannah Almhiemid placed 1st in the high jump,100m hurdles,300m hurdles, and was 3rd leg on the 4x200m relay that finished 1st. Also, Lily Francisco placed 1st in the shot and the discus. Christine Schultz placed 1st in the pole vault with height of 11', which ties her for the 2nd highest vault in Chelsea history. In addition, Sydney Matusik placed 1st in the 400m dash and led off the winning 4x200m relay. There were many other solid performances and great team unity.

Attention Seniors:  The deadline to apply for a Chelsea Scholarship Committee scholarships is Friday, April 15th by 4:00 p.m.  No late applications will be accepted.  Do not miss this opportunity.  One application covers several different local scholarships.  The online application is on the Counseling Office website.
The Chelsea Women's Service Club Scholarship application is due to the Counseling Office by Thursday, April 14th.  Applications are available in the Counseling Office.

The Lynda Collins Memorial Scholarship application is due this Friday, April, 15th by 3:00 p.m.  Applications for this local scholarship are available in the counseling office.
The Chelsea Education Foundation 2016 scholarship program will be accepting applications through
April 30. There are two new scholarships this year.  One online application covers all of their different scholarships and may be accessed from the CHS Counseling Office Website.

Seniors: Do you think you're funny?  Are you a class clown?  Do you even crack yourself up?  Then the Simply Comedy Scholarship is for you.  This year the SCS committee has included an optional video submission that showcases your comedic styling and creative mind as part of their scholarship application.  Please keep the video under 30 seconds and school appropriate - PG13.  Otherwise there are no specific restrictions.  Applications are available in the Counseling Office and due no later than April, 22nd.

Attention Sophomores and Juniors.  Link Crew is now accepting applications for Link Leaders for the 2016-17 school year.  The online application is available on the Link Crew website, which may be accessed under "Clubs and Activities" on the CHS homepage. Deadline for applications is Wednesday, April 20th. See Ms. Wismont, Mr. Murphy, Mr. Arons, or Ms Conklin for more information.

World Language Club is hosting our annual International Night tonight from 6-8 pm in the commons and gym. Come get free cultural food and free Latin dance lessons.
