Good afternoon students and staff, here are the announcements for Wednesday, October 5.
There will be no SWWC (consortium) classes on Friday Oct. 7th except for building trades and cosmetology.
Students who drive to school: You must register your vehicle and obtain a parking permit to be parked in the school parking lot. Tickets are issued on a daily basis at $5 a ticket. The parking permit is $20 for the year. As an incentive to get registered, all tickets that have been issued to date will be voided IF you register, pay, and display your permit by MONDAY, OCTOBER 10. If you fail to register by this date, all tickets will be entered into your fines. You can register at www.chelsea.k12.mi.us. Go to Chelsea High School and then iPark. You may also see Mrs. Bremer at lunch or in the main office before or after school.
Each year, almost 40,000 high school students in grades 9 thru 12 compete in the Voice of Democracy Scholarship competition for more than $2 million in scholarships and incentives. Students compete by recording an audio essay on an annual patriotic theme. This year’s theme is, My Responsibility to America. Applications are available in the Counseling Office and are due no later than November 1st.
Do you have a SRSLY Safe Homes Sign in your yard? SRSLY Chelsea is having a photo contest with SRSLY Dexter and SRSLY Stockbridge in effort to support healthy and safe youth. Post your SRSLY Safe Home sign in your yard, take a family selfie with your sign, and then post it to Facebook, Instagram and/or Twitter with #SRSLYSafeHomes. One lucky person or family will be drawn on October 12th to win a $100 gift card to Meijer. If you need a sign, visit srslychelsea.org/safe-homes to join the list and request a sign.
