Good afternoon students and staff, here are the announcements for Thursday, October 6.

There will be no SWWC (consortium) classes on Friday Oct. 7th except for building trades and cosmetology.

The following colleges and military will be visiting next week:
Tuesday - Sienna Heights University and Michigan State University
Wednesday - United States Army
Thursday - Miami University of Ohio
Friday - Butler University
Sign up is in the Counseling Office.

American Field Service offers you life changing experiences in more than 75 countries.  If you are interested in becoming a high school exchange student and would like more information about it, AFS will be visiting next Wednesday, October 12th.  Sign up is in the Counseling Office.

Don't forget to check the Jobs board outside the counseling office door for employment opportunities.  We currently have several postings including Silver Maples, Jimmy John's, Thompson's Pizzeria, Gretchen's House and Chelsea Animal Hospital...postings are added often!

Attention juniors and seniors:  The new 2017-2018 FAFSA is here and earlier than ever!  Students are able to file as early as Oct. 1, 2016 rather than beginning on Jan. 1, 2017.  A Financial Aid Workshop will be held on Thursday, October 13th at 6:30 p.m. in the auditorium.  This popular annual event features Vickie Crupper from the University of Michigan, and is a very informative meeting that you won’t want to miss.  Please be sure to share this information with your parents.

Students who drive to school:  You must register your vehicle and obtain a parking permit to be parked in the school parking lot.  Tickets are issued on a daily basis at $5 a ticket.  The parking permit is $20 for the year.  As an incentive to get registered, all tickets that have been issued to date will be voided IF you register, pay, and display your permit by MONDAY, OCTOBER 10.   If you fail to register by this date, all tickets will be entered into your fines.  You can register at  Go to Chelsea High School and then iPark.  You may also see Mrs. Bremer at lunch or in the main office before or after school. 

Each year, almost 40,000 high school students in grades 9 thru 12 compete in the Voice of Democracy Scholarship competition for more than $2 million in scholarships and incentives. Students compete by recording an audio essay on an annual patriotic theme. This year’s theme is, My Responsibility to America.  Applications are available in the Counseling Office and are due no later than November 1st.

Attention students, All Star Driver Education is running a fall "Early Bird Special".  If you sign up by Oct 31st for any class staring in October, November or December, you will get a special price of $299!!  Just call All Star at 734- 665-7374 or sign up at to get this great price.  Call right away to get into their next class starting this upcoming Monday Oct 10th!
