Good afternoon students and staff, here are the announcements for Friday, January 29.


Attention Juniors:  Junior counseling appointments will start on Monday, February 1st and go through Thursday, February 11th.  If you have not already signed up to speak with your counselor,  stop by the counseling office to schedule your appointment.

Planning for college is complex.  How can you help provide for your education without sacrificing your parent's retirement savings or overburdening yourself with student debt?  Chelsea District Library will be hosting a College Planning Workshop on Wednesday, February 3rd from 7 to 8 pm.  It is tailored for families with students in grades 7-12 and students are encouraged to attend.   Space is limited, so reserve your seat today!

Attention seniors:  American 1 Credit Union Community Involvement Scholarship rewards students for their involvement in their communities.  Each student who applies for the scholarship must submit an essay, in 1,500 words or less, on the benefits of altruism and how the student has impacted his or her community through their involvement.   Applications are available in the counseling office and must be submitted by Friday, February 26.

Good afternoon students and staff, here are the announcements for Thursday, January 28.


Congrats to the Chelsea Wrestlers who defeated the Huron River Rats 72-6.  Getting big wins were Jacob Jacobusse, Corbyn Munson, Tristan Koch, Quinton Clark, and Hunter Adams. Nice job boys. 

Students this is a reminder that your 2016-2017 course selections must be submitted online no later than today at 4:00 pm. Your course request form with parent signature and appropriate applications are due to your 5th hour teacher on Friday.

HOSA, The Future Health Care Professional's student organization Region 3 conference was held at Jackson College on Saturday January 23rd.  When you see these students, congratulate them on their achievements:  Ally MacDonald and Kiersten Stehlik won silver in the HOSA quiz bowl event and Meagan O'Hara was in the top 10 in Medical Terminology. All three students advance to the State competitions in Traverse City in April.

Good afternoon students and staff, here are the announcements for Tuesday, January 26.

Congrats to the Chelsea Wrestlers who competed at the Lincoln Park Individual Wrestling tournament and took 1st place out of 22 teams. Placing for the bulldogs were: Jacob Jacobusse (5th), Corbyn Munson (2nd), Josh Dosey (8th), Nick Bleise (2nd), Michael Barnes (5th), Quinton Clark (6th), Gus Reynolds (2nd), Zach Bennett (1st), Reed Aldrich (5th), and Ty McTaggart (3rd). It was a huge team performance, congrats boys. The wrestlers will compete in their last dual meet of the season this Wednesday at Huron and then next week at the SEC tournament at Skyline. Good luck men!

Attention Seniors:  The Kevin Bollinger Conservation Memorial Scholarship application forms are available in the Counseling Office.    This scholarship is available for any post-secondary education, including vocational, technical, two year and four year degree.

The Josee L. Alvarez Memorial Scholarship is awarding $1,500 to a graduating Chelsea High School senior this year.  The application deadline is March 15th.  Stop by the Counseling Office for more information or visit the scholarships web page for the link for the online application.

Bollinger Memorial Wrestling Scholarship application forms are available in the Counseling Office.  This scholarship is available to Chelsea wrestlers for any post-secondary education, including vocational, technical, two year and four year degree.  Don't miss out on this scholarship opportunity.

Students looking for a part-time job there is a job posting for Silver Maples wait staff outside the counseling office.

Anyone interested in attending the Academy nominated short film festival and visiting the Detroit Institute of Arts with world language club, please bring $11.00 to M.Forsberg by Wednesday.

Good afternoon students and staff, here are the announcements for Monday, January 25.

At the Saturday night Varsity Hockey game the student section definitely outnumbered the teachers by 10 fold. With such an outstanding student attendance at Saturday’s game we have decided that at our next home game on Wednesday Feb. 3rd against Saline, ALL Chelsea High School students will be admitted free. The game starts at 6:30 pm.
