Good afternoon students and staff, here are the announcements for Thursday, January 12.
Chelsea wrestling won two big SEC Duals last night, defeating Adrain 61-12 and Monroe 50-22. The team improved to 24-8 on the season. Going undefeated on the day were: Jacob Jacobusse, Tyler Hochrein, Corbyn Munson, Nicholas Matusko, Josh Dosey, Eric Whitaker, Quinton Clark, Gus Reynolds, and Reed Aldrich.
The two most exciting matches of the night were Reed Aldrich's pin at 189 catching his opponent off guard and pinning him in the splits. The other show stopper was by Zach Taylor at 285lbs. Zach bummed up to heavyweight on the evening in a David vs Goliath match to get the pin even though he was outweighed by his opponent by over 90 pounds! It was a great night and the men are excited to host our home tournament this Saturday in Chelsea. Wrestling will be going on from 9am until at least 3pm. Please stop by to support the team!
Students that are interested in signing up for a SWWC Consortium class in the 2017-2018 school year, please check your school email for instructions on completing the online application process. Applications must be submitted no later than Thursday, February 3rd.
