Good afternoon students and staff, here are the announcements for Monday, March 13.


Join us on Wednesday for Lunchtime Career Talks. We are back in the choir room for the rest of the year (room 400). We will welcome Ryan Christie, Geotechnical engineer at Black & Veatch. Come and enjoy pizza, cookies, fruit and pop while you learn about green careers in Engineering, procurement and construction of renewable and alternative-energy projects.

Attention AP students planning to take AP tests in May.  The on-line registration for AP testing has been extended to Friday, March 17th.   The registration link is on the Counseling Office website.

The United States Army will be visiting this Thursday, March 16th during all 3 lunches.  If you are interested in more information on the military sign up in the Counseling Office.

Cadet Kurcz from the United States Military Academy at West Point will be visiting Friday, March 17th during all three lunches.  If you are interested in learning more about opportunities available through the military academy stop by the Counseling Office during your lunch.
Attention Seniors:  Wednesday March 15th is the deadline for the Josee Alvarez Memorial Scholarship, the Ann Arbor Community Foundation Scholarships, the George L. Palmer Scholarship Program, the Robert L. Daniels Scholarship Program, the Brewster E. and Emily C. Peabody Fund Scholarshipand Washtenaw Community College President's Honor Scholarship and Procassini Scholarship.  These are all local scholarship opportunities so don't miss out.  See Mrs. Weber in the counseling office for more information.
The Gay Straight Alliance Club will meet on Tuesday after school in the counseling office from 3:00-4:00.  Come join us as we plan for Day of Silence activities and other important information.  If you have any questions, please contact Mrs. Morris or Mrs. Bickel. 

Eric Hipple will be returning to Chelsea High School to train interested students in peer mentoring.  #WhyYouMatter leaders and organizers saw the need for peer mentoring and we are bringing Mr. Hipple back to train mentors about Mental Fitness.  This event will be held on Monday, March 27th during 2-5th hours. Lunch will be provided.    If you are interested in being a Peer Mentor for the #WhyYouMatter campaign, sign up in the counseling office by Friday, March 17 in the counseling office. 

Brass Pass applications are now available in the front office.
 
Project Renaissance Committee is having their first meeting on March 16th at 7:30am in Geo's room. They will be discussing upcoming art projects around the school. All are welcome! Contact Emily Morales or Jacquline Taylor with questions.

The Theatre Guild will hold auditions today and tomorrow from 3:30 to 6:30pm for their comedic spring play: The Brothers Grimm Spectaculathon.  Auditioners should dress to move and should bring information on their schedule through May. Auditioners  need only attend one of the two audition days. Students interested in working on technical or backstage aspects of the production should stop by between 3:00 and 3:30.

The Dexter Rugby Club has been in existence for many years. They are looking for a few more players this spring.  If you are interested in becoming a part of this exciting sport, stop by the athletic office and get more information.
