Good afternoon students and staff, here are the announcements for Monday, April 24.


The Chelsea Lacrosse Association is offering FREE ADMISSION to all BMS and CHS students for the lacrosse games on Friday.  They play Ann Arbor Huron High with the JV game at 5:30 pm followed by the Varsity game.

Sophomores and Juniors:  There will be a College Fair Monday, April 24th at Saline High School from 6:00-7:30 pm.  Over 70 colleges, universities and military branches will be represented.

Applications for the Chelsea Lions Club Service Award are now available in the Counseling Office.  This yearly award is available to two recipients for service to the community, be it your school, your town, your place of worship, a Lions club, or any combination.   Applications are available online or in the counseling office and are due no later than 4:00 p.m. May 9th.

O'Quinn Family Edward Jones Scholarship is an opportunity for students who plan to enter an accredited four-year college or university, desire to study business, and who have developed a cursory understanding of the importance of ethical behavior in business.  Applications are available in the Counseling Office.

Join us on Wednesday for Lunchtime Career Talks in the choir room (400). We will welcome Lieutenant Joseph Brodeur, licensed attorney and assistant post commander for the Michigan State Police. Come and enjoy pizza, cookies, fruit and pop while you learn about careers as a lawyer or a police officer.

Please check your email for a survey about Lunchtime Career Talks, if you have ever attended one.  Complete the survey before Wednesday and pick up your token of appreciation on Tuesday April 25th or Wednesday April 26th from Mrs Bickel in the counseling office.

Want a chance to be featured in the yearbook?  Send in your best spring break 2017 pictures! They can include any and all school appropriate activities. Send them to ChelseaHSYearbook@gmail.com or text them to a yearbook member.

The Chelsea Rod and Gun Club is offering four $1000 scholarships to graduating seniors this year.  To be considered, applicants must have a 3.0 or higher cumulative GPA.  Other restrictions apply.   Applications are available in the counseling office and are due by April 30th.

Attention job hunters:  Woodbine Farms is looking for students who are interested in working in a fun and fast paced work environment.  If you are looking for a summer job with flexible hours check out their job posting by the counseling office door.

U of M Grounds Services is hiring for spring and summer.  Starting pay $11.00 per hour.  Check the jobs board by the Counseling Office for more information.
