CHS ANNOUNCEMENTS
05/04/17

Good afternoon students and staff, here are the announcements for Thursday, May 4.

All scheduled athletic events today are cancelled.  Players should check with their coaches regarding any after school meetings or activities.

This is an important reminder to all students attending the Washtenaw Community College tour Friday, May 5.  Please be in the commons no later than 7:55 tomorrow morning. We will board the bus at around 8:00 am.

Attention Juniors:  The purpose of the NROTC Program is to educate and train qualified young men and women for service as commissioned officers in the Navy's unrestricted line, the Navy Nurse Corps and the Marine Corps.  As the largest single source of Navy and Marine Corps officers, the NROTC Scholarship Program plays an important role in preparing mature young men and women for leadership and management positions in an increasingly technical Navy and Marine Corps.  If you would like more information about this program a representative from the Navy ROTC will be visiting Tuesday, May 9th. Sign up in the Counseling Office.

Seniors: The deadline for the Chelsea Lions Club Service Award is Tuesday, May 9th.    This yearly award is available to two recipients for service to the community, be it your school, your town, your place of worship, a Lions club, or any combination.  Applications are available in the Counseling Office.

Seniors:  The O'Quinn Family Edward Jones Scholarship applications are due next Friday, May 11th.  We have not received very many applications so don't miss out on this local scholarship opportunity!

The lost and found items are now located on the 2 tables outside of the front office.  Please stop by and claim your items.  Unclaimed goods will be donated to Faith in Action after Friday.

If you are interested in traveling to Europe during the summer of 2018 the registration deadline is quickly approaching. Register before May 31st to reserve your spot and guarantee the current price.  Registration information is posted around the school or you can pick up a registration help sheet outside of room 232.  Please contact Ms. Bauermeister or Ms. Moffett with any questions.

The after-Prom party is alive and well May 13 from 10:00 P.M. to 2:00 A.M.  This is a TOTALLY FREE EVENT with free bowling, free food, door prizes, music and fun, all in one.  This event is open to all Chelsea students  grades 9-12 and will be held at the Chelsea Lanes.  For more information, see Mr. Slusser, Ms. Fillion, or Mr. Finger.
