Good afternoon students and staff, here are the announcements for Monday, May 8.

Attention students going to prom: A free shuttle bus is available to ride to and from Cascades Manor House. The first trip leaves at 7:30 and the second at 8:30.  See Mrs. Sinacola in room 134 to sign-up.

This Wednesday the “Lunchtime Career Talks” will host Mr. Erskine. He is a specially trained engineer who functions as a project engineer, managing scientific and development projects in Alaska’s Arctic Circle and Antarctica.  His presentation will be an interesting one. No doubt he will have some firsthand information related to global warming and its impact on our polar regions. As always lunch will be served.

Attention Juniors:  The purpose of the NROTC Program is to educate and train qualified young men and women for service as commissioned officers in the Navy's unrestricted line, the Navy Nurse Corps and the Marine Corps.  As the largest single source of Navy and Marine Corps officers, the NROTC Scholarship Program plays an important role in preparing mature young men and women for leadership and management positions in an increasingly technical Navy and Marine Corps.  If you would like more information about this program a representative from the Navy ROTC will be visiting Tuesday, May 9th. Sign up in the Counseling Office.

Seniors: The deadline for the Chelsea Lions Club Service Award is tomorrow.    This yearly award is available to two recipients for service to the community, be it your school, your town, your place of worship, a Lions club, or any combination.  Applications are available in the Counseling Office.

Seniors:  The O'Quinn Family Edward Jones Scholarship applications are due Friday, May 11.  We have not received very many applications so don't miss out on this local scholarship opportunity!

Chelsea Comfort Inn and Village Conference Center is looking for part-time dishwashers.  They are hiring for 10 to 12 hours per week, mostly weekends, and $10 per hour.  Apply at the Chelsea Comfort Inn.

Independence Lake County Park is looking for summer help.  Job opportunities include Lifeguard, Park Ranger, Spray Park Attendant and Concessions Workers.  See the full posting on the jobs board outside the counseling office.
