Good afternoon students and staff, here are the announcements for Tuesday, January 31.


Reminder to current 9th, 10th and 11th grade students:  Your '17 -'18 course requests must be submitted online no later than 3 p.m. this Thursday.   All course request sheets with appropriate forms attached are due to your 5th hour teacher by this Friday.

Attention Seniors:  The Kevin Bollinger Conservation Memorial Scholarship application forms are available in the Counseling Office.    This scholarship is available for any post-secondary education, including vocational, technical, two year and four year degree.  The Josee L. Alvarez Memorial Scholarship is awarding $1,500 to a graduating Chelsea High School senior this year.  The application deadline is March 14th.  Stop by the Counseling Office for more information or visit the scholarships web page for the link for the online application.

Attention Senior Wrestlers:  The Kevin J. Bollinger Memorial Wrestling Scholarship application forms are available in the Counseling Office. This scholarship is available to Chelsea wrestlers for any post-secondary education, including vocational, technical, two year and four year degree.  Don't miss out on this scholarship opportunity.

Students looking for a part-time job there is a job posting for Hometown Pharmacy outside the counseling office door.

Join us on Wednesday for Lunchtime Career Talks in our NEW LOCATION: the orchestra room (402). We will welcome Colin Seaberg, Golf Course Superintendent. Come and enjoy pizza, cookies, fruit and pop while you learn about careers in sports management and business management.

Good afternoon students and staff, here are the announcements for Thursday, January 26.


Congrats to the wrestlers who defeated Pioneer 75-6, winning 13 out of 14 matches. This wrapped up the SEC regular season going 9-2. The team finished with a 32-8 record and has the SEC tournament next Saturday. Congrats guys!

There will be a Key Club meeting on Friday January 27 at 7:30 in room 116.

Good afternoon students and staff, here are the announcements for Wednesday, January 25.



Students this is an important Scheduling update concerning English Electives.  Please note that Writing for Publication A, B and C is available to sign up for next year.  The English department will now offer this course every year.  It can be taken multiple trimesters (A, B, and/or C) and would be a great chance to sharpen your writing and contribute to The Bleu Print.

Attention Seniors:  Scholarship opportunities have been added to the counseling website and are being posted outside the Counseling Office door.  Don't miss out, apply early!

Chelsea choirs are hosting chamber choir auditions tonight at 7:00p in the choir room.  Learn about what it means to be in a community of fun-loving individuals making music all year round.  This event is for everyone interested in joining chamber choir, bella voce or troubadours or who wish to know more about Chelsea choirs.

Soon it will be Valentine's Day, so that means it’s Matchmaker time! Please complete a Match-o-matic questionnaire so that you can be included in the fun. You will find the Match-o-matic survey link in a block on the CHS Connections page in your Haiku. The survey deadline is today, so don't delay! 

There will be a Key Club meeting on Friday January 27 at 7:30 in room 116.

The Gay-Straight Alliance (GSA) will be meeting today after school in the counseling office.  Come see what we are all about.  We are meeting every Tuesday after school from 3:00-4:00 in the counseling office.  Please see Mrs. Morris or Mrs. Bickel for more details.  We hope to see you there!

Coach Forsch is very proud of the Science Olympiad team who came together at the Clio Invitational to earn 2nd's in Experimental Design, Forensics and Rocks & Minerals.  Thirds were earned in Ecology and Optics. Other top scores were in Write It Do It, Invasive Species, Materials Science and GameOn.  They did this while 2 of their senior members were absent and competing with 19 other schools !  Go Science Team!
